Fitting The Right Roofing Gutter

Fitting guttering is easy, but only on face value. When it comes down to doing the job its amazing how many installers often get it wrong. It’s been reported that nearly a quarter of the owners of new build homes have had guttering problems that subsequently had to be worked on again.

It can be easy to make a mistake, fitting a profile that’s too small could cause problems in heavy rainfall. Or if an ordinary domestic system is used on a large project like a school or sports hall, it will need more down-pipes than usual, which may not fit with the aesthetics of the building.

Installers need to give some careful consideration to a number of factors if they are to avoid callbacks. This means considering not just the profile and colour, but more importantly for the system not to fail, it’s size.
